Let me break it down for you, Minnesotans. We both know you love food and we can all agree we love to shop. I’ve scooted around to some places in MN that, without a doubt, need to be checked out before you can confidently say that you’re done christmas shopping.

First things first, Food.

1. Crisp & Green

We can all admit that we can’t be a fully satisfied shopper without a full belly. This is where Crisp & Green comes in. This is Wayzata’s newest addition and trust me when I say its a good one. This place has an amazing selection of salads as well as grain bowls and if you’re feeling a little naughty they also have a killer mac n cheese (for previous readers we all know I love a good mac n cheese).  Before you know it you’ll be moving in and calling this place home. I’ve eaten here almost every single day since its been opened…but who is counting?

2. Askov Finlayson

For those of you who didn’t know, now you know. Minnesotans are obsessing over these toques (its a Canadian thing, don’t worry about it). This amazing little store can be found downtown, Minneapolis and it is the perfect place to find any man in your life a little something special. From shoes, clothing and eyeglass-wear to trinkets for christmas stocking stuffers, Askov delivers well made goods in every category.

3. The Foundry

For those of you in dire need of a perfect gift for any kitchen lover then this is the place, my friends! This store is a representation of everything I would want in a kitchen and more. From one of a kind pieces made by local artists to beautifully sewn kitchen towels, you won’t be disappointed and you won’t be leaving empty handed.

4.  Victory

There nothing I love more than sorting through antique pieces because with every piece, lies a story. Victory, along with many other antique shops, are home to things like fancy fur coats and dented up sterling silver with history that you’re dying to know. There is nothing more personable than gifting a unique piece to someone who will be able to create a story of its own with what they’ve been gifted.

5. Russell and Hazel

Theres no words to fully express my love for this place. As well as hosting some killer art done by Abbey Holden Studio and supporting local Minnesotan artists, they’re the hub of everything you’d find on your favorite Pinterest board. Their space is filled with jewelry, leather goods, candles and so so much more.

P.S Did I mention they do personalized binders and note books?

Never stop searching for the bright things…XO
